When you buy glasses from The Optical Shop, you have 100 days to decide if you like them or not. If during those 100 days you decide you don’t, then you can return them for a 100% full refund of your purchase price. It’s as simple as that!
What’s included in this guarantee? Everything! If you change your mind about the style of the frames, or the colour, or the lenses aren’t giving you the vision you expected… whatever it is, you have 100 days to make that decision.
365 Product Warranty
Your glasses are also covered by a 365 day product warranty that covers any product defect or fault caused by manufacturing workmanship. This includes things like coatings coming off the lenses, screws or parts falling off, or the frames themselves breaking for no apparent reason.
It does not cover situations outside normal use such as breakages caused by excessive force, scratched lenses or modifications or repairs done by someone other than someone authorised by The Optical Shop.
How to get the longest use out of glasses
Glasses get a hard life due to the constancy of use they experience so the more you care for them, the longer they will last.
Putting glasses up on your head isn’t good for them. It slowly stresses the hinges and cause the arms to widen over time, or eventually breaks the hinges.
Putting your glasses on & off with one hand not two will also stress one side of the frame & hinge more than the other, resulting in one side widening over time or that hinge breaking.
An obvious one, but don’t ever put glasses down on the lenses. The less that ever touches the lenses the better. Even a protective coating such as our anti-scratch coating doesn’t make them immune to scratches.
Don’t clean lenses with a paper towel or tissue. Use cotton as it’s much less abrasive.
